Memories from Jenny

Created by Kirsty one year ago
Trisha and I have known each other since we were eighteen when in PTS out at Woolton  - we were in next door rooms.
Consequently Allan has been a presence in my life since not long after that and I was at their wedding in the summer after we qualified.   I was with Sheila, but that’s another story of a person who has remained in our hearts.
For many years our contact and friendship remained through letters, from Trisha & Allan being in Scotland, moving down to Shropshire and then to Winchester. There was as well both Kirsty &  Neil coming along and growing up.   Of course there was their travels in Scotland which also remains in my memory.  More recently the motor home adventures.

It was only when your Trisha and Allan moved to Devon that we were able to meet up again  which has been wonderful after so many years of letters.

Hence Allan has been a fellow traveller in life through Trisha since I was eighteen but it was only in more recent years that we were all  more able to meet, to enjoy a meal together, a glass of wine and the common interests of our dogs over the years and gardens.

Consequently my tribute to Allan is the fellow traveller and his life, his family, travels, dogs and garden .... I can’t comment on the golf!
I think there is a book called ‘ A Life well travelled’ ... appropriate.

I will miss this fellow traveller and I send my condolences and thoughts.
I am sorry that Ken and I, because of our health, will not be able to join you to show our tribute and respects in person, but my thoughts will be with you all.
